Another surprise proposal for 2020! On the day the Govenor issued an executive order for all bars & other similar establishements to close. Layne was struggling to find a plan B option for his proposal.
The day started out with breaking news of the day right at 9am. All bars and similar establishments are set to close at 12 noon due to the escalated COVID-19 cases. When I saw this notification on my phone, I knew I had to alert Layne as his surprise proposal was set to be at a vineyard later that day. But getting in contact with Layne had me nervous as I didn’t want to ruin the surprise if his girlfriend was around! I managed to send him an email as I knew either a phone call or a text message would possibly blow his cover. I hurried and got ready, and waited anxiously to hear back from Layne.
Thankfully, I got a call and Layne told me that the original plan was a no-go anymore as the vineyard we originally booked for was going to close at noon. He told me he’d call me back once he had a plan B option ready to go.
Heading to Fredericksburg, I got another call from Layne with a possible plan B option. But he still wasn’t sure it was going to work, so he was going to call me back again with the final details. Once I got closer to Fredericksburg, I got the last call of the day! Layne put together the special moment and was ready to go!
I was super excited as I knew this proposal would be one to remember! We definitely didn’t anticipate this would happen, but Layne got the day planned and the proposal was a success! His lady said YES!!
