Barons Creek Vineyards LGBTQ Surprise Proposal | Austin Wedding Photographer
Have I ever mentioned that proposals are one of my favorite events to photograph? I absolutely LOVE seeing our couple’s faces just glow when they see their engagement ring. And not only that, they’re super surprised by the fact that they’re even getting proposed too!
For Holly and Haylie, this has been a long time coming. Holly reached out to me about two months ago searching for a photographer for the big moment. Of course, I was FULLY on board because lets be honest, I LOVE proposals!
Holly had just about everything planned, and she even gave me an idea on what to say when it was time! She wanted me to give a speech about maybe getting some photos taken for the venue, and if they wanted to volunteer for it. Honestly, I was super nervous to try and sound believable because I sometimes over think it and then things go south! But I managed to pull it off by saying, I was hired by the vineyard to take pictures for an upcoming magazine, and the vineyard wanted some photos of real customers enjoying themselves. Thankfully, Haylie totally bought it and wanted her photo taken! I told them to pose in front of the fountain, and I also offered to take another photo of them posing on how they want too.
Though, this was already planned! Holly wanted Haylie on her back since all of their big moments have always happened with this pose. So it only seemed fitting to have the same pose for the proposal! Haylie had no idea and was super excited and blown away by the gorgeous ring!
